American Tungsten (CSE:TUNG) has appointed Duncan Blount to its board of directors, following Ajay Toor stepping down, effective immediately.
Blount has nearly two decades of global experience in natural resources, investment management, and corporate leadership. He serves as Chairman and CEO of Chilean Cobalt Corp (OTCQB:COBA).
CEO Ali Haji says Blount’s expertise across critical minerals, global markets, and strategic development will be invaluable as it advances its growth initiatives.
“With capital already secured, Duncan’s appointment enhances our ability to execute on our transition from direct shipping ore operations to onsite milling and long-term value creation,” Haji says.
This news comes after the company tested the potential of the IMA Mine in Idaho to enable full-scale onsite milling.
As Mining.com.au reported, the company engaged engineering consulting firm WSP to construct a testwork program and a conceptual processing system to establish the mill. The company will use this program to guide the next phase of development, leading towards a detailed engineering guide for the proposed facility.
American Tungsten is a Canadian explorer focused primarily on tungsten and magnetite assets in North America.
