Mithril Silver and Gold (ASX:MTH) has extended drill-confirmed mineralisation along the Copalquin-Zaragoza corridor to approximately 550m at its Copalquin District in Mexico.
Three holes drilled at Target 4 returned broad silver–gold intersections, including 11.7m @ 456 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) from 22m in hole CO26-001.
The interval averaged 1.06g/t gold (Au) and 381g/t Ag and included 3.4m @ 1,239g/t AgEq from 28.4m. This contained 0.6m @ 3,877g/t AgEq from 31.2m, grading 4.81g/t Au and 3,54g/t Ag.
Hole CO26-002 intersected 13.95m @ 387g/t AgEq from 88.85m, including 1m @ 1,747g/t AgEq from 97m, while CO26-003 returned 6.5m @ 320g/t AgEq from 93.4m, including 0.5m @ 1,890g/t AgEq from 97m.
The reported intervals are downhole lengths, and Mithril has not established their true widths.
The three holes, totalling 528m, each intersected the targeted structure within the host granodiorite. The drilling tested the projected Copalquin vein across post-mineral dyke intrusions and filled gaps between the historic Copalquin Mine area and previous drilling at Zaragoza.
Managing Director John Skeet says the results provide further evidence of gold and silver mineralisation across several levels of the corridor.
“We are seeing how these discoveries potentially align within the larger Copalquin-Zaragoza Structure and connecting several historical mining areas across the district,” Skeet says.
Drilling has traced mineralisation across about 550m of strike and 200m vertically. Mithril interprets the broader structure to have a potential strike length of 1.5km, although much of this remains untested.
The company notes around 400m of strike remains untested to the northwest towards El Refugio, while a further 600m separates the latest drilling from the historic San Manuel mine to the southeast.
Drilling has resumed at Target 4 to test this southeastern extension as part of Mithril’s planned 25,000m program across Copalquin in 2026.
