DevEx Resources (ASX:DEV) is testing deeper targets at its Nabarlek Uranium Project in the Northern Territory after intersecting altered rocks at the KP prospect that it says resemble those hosting the Nabarlek deposit.
Drilling has passed through approximately 100m of sandstone cover into strongly altered basement rocks during the first month of the company’s 2026 dry season campaign.
Diamond hole NBDD26003 intersected a 10m downhole interval of fault breccia filled with chlorite and minor hematite above the unconformity — the boundary between the sandstone and older basement rocks.
DevEx believes the hole likely passed above the primary target. Follow-up holes are testing where the structure is projected to cross beneath that boundary.
Managing Director Marnie Finlayson says the early drilling is helping establish fault positions and the characteristics of the host rocks.
“At KP we are drilling into altered basement rocks that look a great deal like the rocks that host Nabarlek. That is exactly the sort of information a first pass should deliver, and this data will be used to inform future activities,” Finlayson says.
At Big Radon, seven reverse circulation (RC) and diamond holes have completed first-pass testing of the northern portion of a 3km-long anomaly.
Downhole gamma measurements in hole NAR26002 returned 1.6m @ 680 parts per million (ppm) equivalent uranium oxide (eU₃O₈) from 26m, including 0.4m @ 1,041ppm eU₃O₈. Laboratory assays remain pending.
RC drilling has also started at Sandfire, targeting the projected Angularli Fault Zone along strike from Deep Yellow’s (ASX:DYL) Angularli uranium deposit.
DevEx says it is awaiting drilling approvals for five targets, including a possible northern continuation of the Caramal deposit identified through relogging historical core.
Initial results from an airborne hyperspectral survey flown in August are expected in September. The company notes the survey is designed to identify alteration signatures that could help refine drilling targets.
