Pivotal Metals wraps up Horden Lake drilling

Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has completed a North American winter diamond drilling program, comprising 11 holes for 1,557m, at the Horden Lake Project in Québec, Canada.

The program targeted high-priority shallow electromagnetic anomalies delineated along strike in the southwest direction from Horden Lake’s main deposit.

Drill core logging was carried out concurrently with drilling, and the first core is already cut and with assay laboratory ALS Canada. The results are expected to be released sometime this quarter.

Managing Director Ivan Fairhall says this program targeted near surface mineralisation with the aim of bulking up open-pit potential resources, building on the geophysical targets and step-out drilling of 2024.

“We have a large number of targets on the project that mimic and extend the signature of the large and well-defined main deposit,” Fairhall says.

“Recent metallurgical testwork has confirmed the revenue generating potential of the deposit and we are excited to build out this important copper project.”

Pivotal notes the entire drilling program was completed on schedule and on budget.

The Horden Lake Project hosts a 28 million tonnes @ 1.5% copper-equivalent which is open in multiple directions. The deposit occurs as remobilised concentrations of polymetallic sulphide accumulations along a contact zone between mafic intrusive and metasediment.

Pivotal Metals is a mineral explorer and developer focused on critical mineral projects in Canada.
