Pivotal AI approach initiates at Midrim

Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has initiated fieldwork and an artificial intelligence (AI) program targeting new copper-nickel-platinum group metals deposits.

At Midrim, within the Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt projects in Canada, fieldwork has begun with the first results expected during Q3 2025.

Using deep penetrating electromagnetic methods to refine drill targets, discoveries of new high-grade semi-massive to massive sulphide accumulations similar to the known occurrences are being targeted.

Numerous undrilled conductive anomalies representing possible sulphide accumulations have been generated from analysis of historic airborne mega time-domain EM and versatile time-domain EM surveys as initial targets.

Pivotal, which has a market capitalisation of $9 million, says a clear drill target has been generated following a fixed-loop transient EM survey. The company seeks to replicate this to generate a suite of targets for prioritisation and drill testing.

Geological mapping, geophysical modelling, ground EM surveys, and drill testing will be carried out within the BAGB projects.

Managing Director Ivan Fairhall says with multiple historical intercepts and a proven regional scale mineralising system, this is far more than a brownfields extension play.

“Our consolidated land position hosting numerous undrilled targets, combined with modern exploration techniques and a systematic data-driven approach, gives us a compelling platform to make new high-grade copper-nickel-platinum group metals discoveries across this underexplored terrain,” Fairhall says.

“Importantly, the project is located close to existing infrastructure, including underutilised milling capacity – positioning us to rapidly create value through low-capex development opportunities, in parallel with advancing Horden Lake and our other BAGB assets.”

Midrim is one of three projects within the BAGB area. Spanning 86.5km2 across the segment of the greenstone belt, Midrim is considered a “compelling” copper-nickel-platinum group metals exploration opportunity with multiple known deposits and mineral occurrences.

Pivotal Metals is a mineral explorer and developer focused on its critical minerals assets in Canada.

The company holds a dominant position on the BAGB, which forms part of the Archean Superior Province of the Canadian Shield.
