Noronex (ASX:NRX) has wrapped up its maiden exploration program at the Sleitat Tin-Tungsten-Silver Project in Alaska.
The company also completed approximately 250 line-kilometres of high-resolution airborne magnetics and radiometrics at 50m line spacing across the project.
CEO James Thompson says the completion of the maiden field and geophysical programs represents an important step in the company’s evaluation of Sleitat.
“For the first time, we now have detailed modern geophysics across the project, with magnetics and radiometrics completed at 50-metre line spacing compared with approximately one-mile spacing in the historical government surveys,” Thompson says.
“The field program has also provided an important early result, with our geological mapping extending the northern greisen system to a strike length of more than 1km and well beyond the area tested by historical drilling.”
Initial geophysical data has been received, with geophysical results and geological interpretation expected this month (October 2026), followed by surface sampling assay results in November.
Noronex also plans to review historical diamond drill core from 14 drill holes totalling 1,400m later this month (October 2026). Previous drilling returned near-surface grades including 29.1m @ 1.56% tin and 28 grams per tonne silver from 20.4m.
The company has also appointed geologist Joe Piekenbrock to its advisory board. Piekenbrock brings over 35 years of mining exploration experience and was involved in the original discovery of Sleitat.
Noronex completed the full acquisition of the Sleitat Project following shareholder approval on 4 September and expects to commence drill permitting activities shortly ahead of its maiden drilling program.
Noronex is an Australian mineral explorer with advanced projects in Alaska, the Kalahari Copper Belt spanning Namibia and Botswana, and Ontario, Canada.
