Danakali names Saudi general manager to lead Kingdom push

Danakali (NSX:DNK) has appointed His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Mohammed bin Nahar bin Saud Al Saud as general manager of its Saudi Arabian subsidiary, Danakali Mineral Exploration (DME).

The appointment advances the company’s strategy to build a portfolio of mineral exploration assets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also reflects Danakali’s commitment to establishing a local presence aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economic diversification objectives.

DME was formed with Masadir Al Zumurda for Mining in March 2026 as an 80/20 joint venture to target early-stage precious and critical minerals exploration.

According to Danakali, the general manager appointment will support its engagement with local stakeholders and its efforts to progress the Saudi exploration strategy.

Executive Chairman Seamus Cornelius says:“[HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nahar bin Saud Al Saud’s] appointment represents an important milestone for Danakali as we continue to build our presence in Saudi Arabia and pursue opportunities in the Kingdom’s highly prospective minerals sector.”

He adds that the company looks forward to working with Prince Mohammed as it advances exploration and seeks to create long-term value for shareholders.

An Australian explorer, Danakali is pursuing precious and critical minerals opportunities across Western Australia, Eritrea, and Saudi Arabia.

In Western Australia, it has applied for 1,433km2 of exploration licences across eight projects in the Murchison and Gascoyne regions. These projects are prospective for gold, copper, rare earths, and other critical minerals.

Danakali is also awaiting a decision on a gold and copper exploration licence application in Eritrea.

The company held about $27 million in cash and bonds at its most recent quarter-end.
