Lightning Minerals appoints managing director

Lightning Minerals (ASX:L1M) has appointed Troy Brice as Managing Director following his three-month tenure as CEO.

The promotion follows the board’s unanimous resolution to elevate Brice to the role effective today (24 June), with existing employment terms remaining unchanged.

Brice was initially appointed CEO on 23 March of this year.

The company says the transition aligns with its strategic pivot to a gold and copper focus, with the Mt Turner Gold Project as its flagship asset.

Non-Executive Chairman David Vilensky notes that the repositioning, which also included the divestment of non-core assets, was successfully undertaken under Brice’s leadership.

“Troy has undertaken a comprehensive review of the company’s strategy, asset portfolio, and capital allocation priorities, and has successfully repositioned the company around a focused gold and copper growth strategy,” Vilensky says.

“The board has been particularly impressed by Troy’s leadership, disciplined approach to capital allocation, and commitment to creating shareholder value.

“We believe his appointment provides strong leadership continuity as the company advances its flagship Mt Turner Gold Project and broader growth strategy.”

In tandem with the appointment, Justyn Stedwell has resigned as Non-Executive Director effective today (24 June), having completed his temporary service pending Brice’s Managing Director appointment.

Lightning Minerals is an Australian explorer and developer focused on advancing gold and copper assets in tier one mining jurisdictions.
