Lightning Minerals (ASX:L1M) has completed a systematic soil sampling program at its fully owned Mt Turner Project in Queensland.
The company collected 551 soil samples across the 5km Western Zone structure and 12 rock samples consisting of gossanous breccias and altered intrusives.
All samples will be delivered to ALS Laboratories on 10 July for gold and multi-element analysis, with assay results expected by mid-August 2026 to refine phase three drill targets.
The program evaluated approximately 5km of prospective structural corridor west of the Mt Turner copper-gold porphyry system, which complements the recently completed Drummer Fault campaign.
Managing Director Troy Brice says the completion marks another important step in the evaluation of Mt Turner.
“Rather than relying on individual exploration results, we’re integrating geology, geochemistry, and structural interpretation to progressively refine our geological model and identify the highest-priority drill targets,” Brice says.
Lightning notes it has rescheduled its phase two drilling program to mid-August 2026 due to extended crew resourcing challenges in the region.
Meanwhile, integrated geological and geochemical interpretation is planned in August, followed by phase three drill target selection in September 2026.
Located in northern Queensland, the Mt Turner Project hosts a large-scale gold system extending over approximately 14km of strike along the prospective Drummer Fault.
Lightning Minerals is an Australian explorer and developer focused on advancing gold and copper assets in tier one mining jurisdictions.
