High Tide Resources' drill core samples

High Tide expands Labrador West footprint

High Tide Resources (CSE:HTRC) has completed its summer drilling campaign and added 925 hectares at its Labrador West Iron Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

The company drilled 27 holes totalling 6,335m and staked adjoining ground following results along the project’s eastern boundary. The expanded property now covers 3,401 hectares.

Additional assays remain pending after results released in August and September.

CEO Steve Roebuck says the drilling supports an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) in the coming months.

“We exceeded several operational targets, giving us a robust dataset that materially advances our understanding of the system and positions us well to deliver an updated MRE in the coming months,” Roebuck says.

As previously reported by Mining.com.au, 11 of the first 13 holes reported from the campaign were outside the existing resource boundary. Those results included 128.9m @ 30.2% total iron from 7.2m in hole 26LB0071.

Labrador West hosts an inferred mineral resource of 655 million tonnes @ 28.84% iron, outlined in an April 2023 technical report. The resource is exposed at the surface and constrained by an open-pit mining scenario.

High Tide Resources is a Canadian explorer that owns Labrador West and the Lac Pegma copper-nickel-cobalt deposit near Fermont, Québec.
