Green & Gold flags copper-silver-tin potential at Elizabeth Bluffs

Green & Gold Minerals (ASX:GG1) reports copper, silver, and tin potential at the Elizabeth Bluffs prospect within its Herberton Conductor Metals Project in Queensland.

Historic sampling from the Elizabeth Mine established 8.5m of true-width copper mineralisation, returning 8.5m @ 1.08% copper (Cu) and 0.44% tin (Sn). Silver, gold, and indium were not assayed in the historic work.

Historic production records show tin mining was supplemented by ‘high‑grade’ copper ore parcels assaying 15% Cu, 684 grams per tonne silver (Ag), and 15.5g/t gold (Au).

Recent rock chip sampling by Green & Gold confirmed ‘high‑grade’ copper, tin, and silver in portable X-ray fluorescence measurements, with highlights including 684g/t Ag, 5.2% Sn, and 3.7% Cu.

Managing Director Quentin Hill says Elizabeth Bluffs is a highly prospective target that has seen limited drilling.

“Old records show it has outstanding prospectivity for copper, silver, and tin mineralisation and that it has been poorly tested by drilling. However, historic drilling still returned very encouraging results including high-grade gold and broad low-grade copper intersections, at what we think are the margins of the prospect,” Hill notes.

The Elizabeth Bluffs trend consists of a 4km-long, up to 100m-wide outcropping zone of weathering‑resistant chert. This zone contains prospective mineralised veins, gossans, and breccias, with numerous historic workings for tin, copper, silver, and gold.

Historic mine plans confirm mineralisation occurs steeply northwest‑dipping to subvertical veins striking northeast. At the historic Elizabeth mine, a central 1.5m-wide tin‑rich vein occurs within a broader halo of copper‑silver mineralisation.

A sample traverse along the Elizabeth haulage adit returned 8.5m @ 1.08% Cu and 0.44% Sn at true width.

Historically, six drill holes were completed at Elizabeth Bluffs. The only hole drilled at the Elizabeth mine workings terminated short of the target, leaving the mineralised zone beneath the mine untested.

Approximately 570m to the northeast, four historical holes returned intercepts including 9m @ 3g/t Au, 0.12% Sn, 0.10% Cu, and 6g/t Ag from 20m.

Green & Gold has scheduled a 3,000m drilling program to commence at its Mt Wandoo Project in September, targeting extensions to ‘high‑grade’ intercepts from the 2025 program. The current Mt Wandoo mineral resource estimate covers only 260m of the 850m strike length of outcropping mineralisation.

Further drilling at the Herberton Conductor Metals Project is planned for the December quarter at the Copper Hills and Siberia‑Mt Gossan prospects. Assay results from two recently completed reverse circulation holes at Mt Gossan are expected in approximately two weeks.
