Giant Mining (CSE:BFG) has identified 21 soil samples to return over 100 parts per million (ppm) copper from a recent sampling program at Majuba Hill Project in Pershing County, Nevada.
The company has received results from 96 samples, with the highest value of 397ppm copper, with the greater results extending the footprint of copper and silver mineralised breccia bodies previously identified in core drilling programs.
Silver reached values up to 9.50ppm from these samples, with 26 of which returning greater than 2ppm silver.
Copper zones greater than 100ppm and silver zones greater than 1.10ppm align with the Northwest Fault Corridors, with a number of copper zones oriented northwest.
The company says overlapping copper and silver fault corridor zones and breccia body zones host the same features as the Southern Mineralised Breccia body.
Giant collected samples across the Ball Park Soil Survey program to fill in gaps in the existing 3,412 sample soil grid.
CEO David Greenway says the results from this campaign have provided potential to extend copper mineralisation by up to 1,000ft east.
“Our technical program continues to expand the geological framework that supports our drill planning and improvements in the geological model by RESPEC,” Greenway says.
As reported by Mining.com.au, Giant recently furthered its collation of recent and historical assays with integrated mining and technology solutions company RESPEC to incorporate silver assays collected from Majuba Hill.
Giant Mining is a copper, silver, and gold explorer, focused on developing assets to meet the growing demand for critical metals.
