Europa Metals (ASX:EUZ) listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) this morning (15 October), with a strategy to explore for gold and antimony in Austria.
The company raised $4 million through its initial public offering (IPO), led by GBA Capital. The offering comprised 20 million shares at $0.20 each.
Europa plans to combine historical records with modern geophysics, field verification, and drilling to test priority targets across its three projects in Austria’s Carinthia region. The company’s portfolio includes the Kreuzeck West, Kreuzeck East, and Goldeck-Siflitz projects.
Exploration will aim to trace the shear zones that host the mineralisation and to identify drill targets alongside the old mines.
The company’s project portfolio also includes the Schellgaden Project, which sits in a historically documented gold and tungsten district that provides additional exploration exposure.
CEO Torey Marshall says the company’s approach rests on the close geological association between antimony and gold across its three priority projects in Carinthia.
“We like antimony and gold because we get two credits for the same shovel,” Marshall says.
Europe has limited domestic antimony production and relies heavily on imports of the metal, which is used in defence, energy storage, and advanced technologies. Antimony is listed as a critical raw material by the EU and the US.
Europa Metals is a mineral explorer focused on discovering antimony, gold, and tungsten in Austria.
Located in Central Europe, Austria has a long mining history and an active resources sector. It ranks fifth globally for magnesite production and eighth for tungsten production.
