Tinka Resources (TSX-V:TK) is planning to conduct a ground geophysical survey and magnetotellurics in Q2 2026 at the Silvia Gold-Copper Project in Peru, after completing a diamond drilling program.
The surveys will target zones of greater sulphide concentration, following up the drilled areas once access allows after the wet season.
An initial 1,400m of diamond drilling was completed across four holes. The drill cores are being assayed for gold, copper, and pathfinder elements at a commercial laboratory in Lima. Assays are expected during the current quarter.
Tinka says copper in the form of chalcopyrite was observed in all holes. Visible chalcopyrite of potentially economic grade occurs over relatively narrow intervals up to a few metres in thickness and is concentrated on or near the contacts between monzonite intrusive dykes and limestone associated with skarn alteration.
CEO Graham Carman says there are multiple intervals of visible copper sulphides in some of the holes and there appears to be a tendency for copper abundance to increase with depth, to be confirmed by assays.
The Silvia Project, covering 10,906 hectares, is located adjacent to the Ayawilca Zinc-Silver-Tin Project in central Peru.
Tinka Resources is a diversified mineral explorer and developer focused on discoveries primarily in central Peru.
