Tietto Minerals hits 184.55 g/t gold at South Gamina Gold deposit in Côte d’Ivoire

West African gold explorer and developer Tietto Minerals (ASX:TIE) reports it has encountered further ‘high-grade’ gold results from step-out drilling completed at South Gamina, which is part of the Abujar Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.

The company says the latest batch of assays results for 32 diamond drill holes completed over 6,008.3m designed to step-out and test depth extensions returned results including 2.7m @ 37.88g/t Au from 61.8m including 0.55m @ 184.55g/t Au in ZDD1440-Section 56B.

The headline intercept is the second-highest drill hit at SG following earlier result of 4m @ 24.73 g/t Au from 85m including 0.50m @ 195.53 g/t Au (ZDD1319 – Section 57).

The company also states these latest drilling results will be incorporated into the next mineral resource update.

Tietto has no debt with zero gold hedging and is advancing towards first gold production at Abujar by the end of Q4 2022. Abujar is forecast to produce 260,000 ounces of gold in its first year of production, and Tietto says it is ‘uniquely’ positioned to advance its dual strategy of ‘Drill and Build’ throughout 2022.

Tietto Minerals Managing Director Caigen Wang says: “Our exploration team is targeting high-grade shoots at South Gamina inside Abujar’s mining exploitation permit and our drilling is delivering more shallow, open-pittable, high-grade results.

“These results show the potential of the high-grade shoots that are prevalent at Abujar to continue to deliver spectacular high-grade results”

Within 2.5km trucking distance to the Abujar CIL plant, the South Gamina gold deposit has potential to add near surface ounces to Abujar’s mine plan and further drilling is ongoing, however, these results bode well for Tietto’s pending resource update planned for early 2023

We will incorporate all drilling intercepts from March 2022 to the end of December 2022.

We have no debt and are fully funded to production at Abujar, which has the potential to be one of the largest gold producing mines in Côte d’Ivoire, with an expected production of more than 260,000 ounces of gold in the first year and 1.2 million ounces of gold in the first 6 years.

Tietto has an experienced team onboard to deliver Abujar on time and on budget. Shareholders can expect further updates from our aggressive diamond drilling program as we advance our dual strategy of ‘Drill and Build’ and develop our Abujar Project into West Africa’s next gold mine, with first gold pour expected in 3 weeks’ time.”

Tietto reports it is carrying out further drilling at South Gamina to test the limits of gold mineralisation which is still open at depth.

Tietto aims to complete up to 120,000m of diamond drilling in 2022 with its fleet of 8 rigs in operation at Abujar, and it is finalising construction of the process plant and associated infrastructure which remains on schedule.

The Abujar Gold Project expects its first gold pour to the end of Q4 2022, and the company states it is on track to become West Africa’s next producing gold mine.
