Orezone Gold (TSX:ORE ; ASX:ORE) has delivered record September-quarter gold production of 59,674 ounces, maintaining its 2026 guidance as both operations prepare to process higher-grade ore.
Bomboré in Burkina Faso contributed 40,562 ounces, while Casa Berardi in Québec, Canada, produced 19,112 ounces. Quarterly gold sales totalled 56,461 ounces, with production for the first nine months reaching 157,029 ounces.
President and CEO Patrick Downey says the company expects increased access to higher-grade material to support further production growth.
“The company expects Q4 to be yet another record-breaking quarter, with operations at both Bomboré and Casa Berardi to benefit from an increase of higher-grade direct feed ore,” Downey says.
Higher-grade feed to support next quarter
Bomboré processed approximately 2.54 million tonnes at a head grade of 0.57 grams per tonne gold (Au), with mining volumes exceeding plan.
Work at the P17 pit focused on waste stripping during the quarter. Additional access to its higher-grade ore is scheduled for the December quarter.
Casa Berardi met its production target despite a seven-day suspension caused by wildfire activity in July. The mine processed 356,619 tonnes at 1.87g/t Au, averaging 4,195 tonnes per operating day against a planned annual throughput rate of 3,900 tonnes per day.
The operational update follows Orezone’s 14-year plan for Casa Berardi, previously reported by Mining.com.au. The plan forecasts average annual production of 116,000 ounces from 2027–2040.
Orezone says it expects to release exploration results from both mines and a preliminary economic assessment for its Heva-Hosco development project in Québec before year-end.
Orezone Gold is a Canadian gold producer operating the Bomboré mine in Burkina Faso and Casa Berardi mine in Québec.
