Gold Runner Exploration (CSE:GRUN) plans to launch its maiden drill program at the Golden Girl property in 2027 following ‘high-grade’ surface sampling results.
The company reports initial assay results up to 396.66 grams per tonne gold equivalent (AuEq) from the newly discovered Gold Stack trend on the British Columbia project.
The ‘highest-grade’ sample contained 11.22g/t gold, 25,306g/t silver, 2.96% copper, 8.19% lead, and 5.89% zinc.
Gold Runner collected 60 samples during its 2026 exploration program, with 11 samples returning over 1g/t AuEq and seven samples exceeding 10g/t AuEq.
The Gold Stack trend forms a mineralised corridor up to 50m wide with a confirmed strike length of 350m that remains open for expansion.
CEO Chris Wensley says the results validate the company’s exploration model supporting potential for a new discovery on trend with the past‑producing Snip mine 17km to the east.
“These initial results from the Gold Stack trend represent a significant step forward for the company and demonstrate the potential of the Golden Girl property to evolve into a significant new gold discovery,” Wensley adds.
The Gold Stack trend consists of steeply dipping northeast‑trending shear zones hosted in volcanic rocks adjacent to the contact between andesite and mudstone units.
Gold Runner notes the geochemistry and alteration within the trend show strong similarities to the nearby Snip mine, which historically produced approximately one million ounces of gold.
Sampling outside the Gold Stack trend has identified additional showings assaying up to 36.86g/t AuEq 1.6km east, 24.54g/t AuEq 2km south, and 17.12g/t AuEq 3km northwest.
The Golden Girl property covers 5,873 hectares in the Iskut River region of northwestern British Columbia, Canada.
Gold Runner Exploration holds an option to acquire a 100% interest and maintains additional projects in Nevada.
