Ecora (TSX:ECOR) has changed its name to Ecora Royalties to better reflect the company’s core business as a critical minerals-focused royalty business.
Copper is at the core of the company’s portfolio and has a cash generative portfolio including producing royalties and streams.
As previously reported, between 2018 and 2024, nearly 300 mining companies underwent a name change, with close to 70 companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) rebranding in 2024 alone.
Since then the trend has not slowed down, as more than 70 ASX-listed companies have changed their names this year to better reflect their refreshed focus.
Of the 76 companies, more than half – 45 companies – sit within the mining sector, representing how deep this trend has embedded itself in the resources industry, as of 1 December 2025.
Ecora Royalties has a diversified portfolio of producing royalties across the globe.
