Zeus’s Diaguili set for first major drilling in decades

Zeus Resources (ASX:ZEU) aims to begin a maiden 1,200m diamond drilling program at its Diaguili Copper-Gold Project in Mauritania in mid-November.

The company has signed a drilling services agreement with Tayssir Drilling for the program, which represents the first significant drilling at Diaguili since the 1990s.

The campaign will test Zeus’ reinterpretation of historical drilling and geophysical data, aiming to extend known copper mineralisation, test a discrete electromagnetic conductor, and inform future exploration targeting.

Executive Director Hugh Pilgrim says the execution of the drilling contract is an important milestone for Zeus.

“Diaguili has not been the subject of a significant drill program since the 1990s, prior to the acquisition of modern airborne electromagnetic data,” Pilgrim says.

Zeus Resources is a mineral explorer focused on identifying and developing early-stage critical mineral assets in underexplored jurisdictions.
