Develop Global (ASX:DVP) has been granted a $200 million contract to establish access tunnels at OceanaGold’s (TSX:OGC) Waihi North Project in the North Island of New Zealand.
The company has received a five-year underground development contract, beginning in the first half of 2026. Develop will use the intervening period to conduct mobilisation activities including establishing a local team of underground mining specialists from the company’s in-house staff.
Managing Director Bill Beament says the contract reflects the company’s strength and depth within the mining services division, which includes “some of the most experienced underground mining specialists”.
“We are delighted to be working with such a highly regarded multi-national mining house as OceanaGold and we look forward to combining the skills and experience of our people with a strong local workforce,” Beament says.
Develop is an underground infrastructure construction company focused on producing clean metals used in sustainable energy generation and storage.
