ASX-listed gold exploration company Turaco Gold (ASX:TCG) reports it has received ‘excellent’ assay results from the Satama gold discovery at the Eburnea Gold Project in central Côte d’Ivoire.
These latest assays are from a recently completed 12-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program and the results continue to confirm Satama as being a ‘significant’, multi-kilometre strike length greenfield gold discovery with further growth potential.
‘Significant’ results encountered include hole STRC0095 with 26m @ 4.82g/t Au from 35m; STRC0088 with 14m @ 2.59g/t Au from 57m; and STRC0091 with 13m @ 1.99g/t Au from 111m.
Turaco also reports the intersection recorded in STRC0095 is the ‘highest’ gram per metre intersection recorded to date.

Commenting on the assay results, Turaco Gold Managing Director Justin Tremain says: “Drilling at Satama continues to generate good results with the latest round of RC drilling delivering the best result to date at Satama with an over 100 gram metre intersection of 26m @ 4.82g/t from 35m.
We look forward to receiving and reporting results from the reconnaissance, shallow auger drilling recently completed testing the western parallel structure which, if positive, would show substantial growth potential at Satama.
“exploration activities have resumed with auger and soil geochemical sampling programs underway at the Odienne Project in northwest Côte d’Ivoire”
Following a short break over the Christmas period, exploration activities have resumed with auger and soil geochemical sampling programs underway at the Odienne Project in northwest Côte d’Ivoire.”
Turaco reports the RC drilling program comprised a total of 1,482m across 12 holes and undertaken to identify ‘higher’ grade plunging shoots and down-dip extensions to previous drilling.
The company states the program achieved both of these goals, with a ‘high-grade’ plunging shoot defined at the northern area of the drill grid (STRC0095), further noting this zone of mineralisation remains open in all directions.
In addition to RC drilling, Turaco reports a 2,050m auger program has recently been completed, aiming to test parallel structures to the west of the existing drill grid where an induced polarisation (IP) survey highlighted ‘high’ chargeability and resistive anomalies extending for over 4km in strike. The company notes the results for this program are pending.
The Eburnea Project covers 2 granted permits covering 690km-square in central Côte d’Ivoire. These permits include the Bouake North permit and the Satama permit.
Turaco Gold is an ASX-listed exploration company operating a portfolio of projects across the Birimian Greenstone terrain in Côte d’Ivoire. These projects include the Eburnea Gold Project, and a 5,303km-square granted tenement in central Côte d’Ivoire. The company also holds the Boundiali Gold, Ferke Gold and Tongon North Gold projects in northern Côte d’Ivoire.
