PhosCo (ASX:PHO) has intersected phosphate mineralisation at a new prospect and extended its DOH discovery at the Gasaat Phosphate Project in Tunisia.
The first two holes at Sekarna North — the company’s first drilling in that permit — both intersected phosphate. Hole SKDD-2026-01 returned 6m of phosphate from 46.5m depth, while SKDD-2026-02 returned 7.4m from 25m depth.
At the DOH prospect, the first two holes of a new program also intersected mineralisation. GADD-2026-36 returned 8.1m of phosphate from 64.9m, and GADD-2026-37 returned 9.0m from 22m. Assays are pending for all four holes.
DOH sits about 10km from Sekarna North. The company says the Sekarna result confirms the ‘district-scale potential’ of the Northern Phosphate Basin.
Managing Director Taz Aldaoud says PhosCo continues to expand the project with almost every hole drilled.
“This includes expanding known mineralisation and making new discoveries,” Aldaoud adds.
“The drilling at Sekarna North is the first ever in that permit by PhosCo and demonstrates the potential to develop a fertiliser hub in the region.”
DOH is a slump block measuring 600–750m wide and 950m north to south, dipping about 25° east. Nine previously reported holes returned intercepts, including 12.5m @ 20.1% diphosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) from 93.3m and 15m @ 19.9% P2O5 from 25m.
The current program will support a maiden mineral resource estimate for DOH.
The southern portion of the 128km2 Sekarna permit falls within a proposed nature reserve. PhosCo says it is engaging with Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines and the Forestry Department on a path forward for that area.
An updated Scoping Study is on track for release this month, with first production targeted for mid-2028.
PhosCo is an Australian explorer and developer advancing phosphate projects in Tunisia.
