North Stawell Minerals (ASX:NSM) has confirmed the permanent appointment of Campbell Olsen as CEO, following a review process that considered both internal and external candidates.
Olsen, who joined the board as a non-executive director, was appointed interim CEO in July 2024.
The company says the decision reflects Olsen’s ongoing contribution to its operational and corporate development strategy noting the group is working on advancing its exploration and project development along Victoria’s Stawell Corridor.
The board noted Olsen’s expertise in capital markets and resource development had been “pivotal” in maintaining strategic focus across its highly prospective tenements north of the historic Stawell Gold Mine.
North Stawell Minerals is focused on discovering large-scale gold systems in the underexplored northern extension of the Stawell Mineralised Corridor, which has produced more than 5 million ounces of gold
The company holds 504km2 of granted tenure and continues to use the Stawell Gold Mine’s Magdala orebody as a geological model for its exploration programs.
