Myriad Uranium (CSE:M) has received approval from the Bureau of Land Management to conduct drilling for up to 222 holes at the Copper Mountain Project in Wyoming, US.
This campaign exceeds the 2024 drilling season, with 50 holes carrying over from the Canning prospect. The company will also target the Mint, Arrowhead, Lucky Cliff, and Gem prospects.
Each of these target areas have known uranium mineralisation, including historical production at the Arrowhead Mine area, producing 500,000 pounds of uranium at 1,500 parts per million (ppm) triuranium octoxide from underground workings in the 1950s and 1960s.
CEO Thomas Lamb says the company has verified much of the drilling conducted at the Canning deposit by Union Pacific in last year’s season.
“We now have the permit we need to continue drilling not only at Canning, but also at other target areas to confirm the entire project’s vast potential,” Lamb says.
Trading Economics reports the price of uranium to sit at US$79.50 ($122) per pound as of 15 October.
Myriad Uranium is an explorer focused on advancing the Copper Mountain Project in Wyoming, which the company holds an earnable 75% interest.
