Maritana Minerals Boorara Gold Project in Western Australia

Maritana reinterprets Boorara as gold runs wider

Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) expects to deliver an updated Boorara mineral resource estimate (MRE) in the March 2027 quarter, following completion of the final drilling program at its wholly owned Boorara Gold Project, 17km east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia.

The company reports results from the last 52 holes of a 119-hole reverse circulation program, part of a roughly 60,000m resource-conversion campaign.

Infill holes between Pits 2 and 4 returned 20m @ 7.77 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 100m in BOORD260054, including 2m @ 54.04g/t Au from 114m, and 19m @ 1.63g/t Au from 108m in BOORD260056.

Further infill results included 19m @ 1.32g/t Au from 66m in BOORD260100, including 1m @ 6.67g/t Au from 71m.

Two holes tested extensions below the planned pits. Beneath Pit 4, hole BOORD260149 returned 36m @ 3.53g/t Au from 142m, including 1m @ 62.44g/t Au from 156m, and a separate 20m @ 1.75g/t Au from 34m. Meanwhile, hole BOORD260148 returned 12m @ 1.28g/t Au from 12m.

The company says several holes indicate mineralisation is wider than previously understood. It has begun reinterpreting the mineralisation wireframes ahead of re-estimation.

All intervals are downhole lengths, with many holes intersecting the vertical mineralised zones obliquely. The company deliberately drilled both extension holes down-plunge and down-dip, meaning neither represents true width.

Work is now progressing towards a mining restart, with Managing Director and CEO Grant Haywood saying the results will feed directly into resource and reserve work.

“With the Boorara program now complete, these results will be incorporated into an updated MRE and pit optimisation work, supporting ore reserve updates and the life-of-mine plan,” Haywood notes.

Pit optimisation will follow the MRE, with diamond drilling planned in the coming months to support mining assumptions and quality assurance.

Boorara is a key ore source for the Black Swan Processing Hub. Mining was suspended in December 2025, with the site subsequently placed on care and maintenance.

Multi-stage grade-control drilling is planned ahead of the mining restart, targeted for mid-2027.

Maritana Minerals is an Australian gold producer developing a regional production hub centred on its Black Swan facility in Western Australia.
