Iltani widens Orient silver-indium system

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has extended silver-indium mineralisation across three areas of its Orient Silver-Indium Project in North Queensland.

Assays from nine reverse circulation holes cover the Orient East and Orient West deposits and the Vein One target. Drilling returned broad mineralised intervals inside and beyond the current resource.

The results follow recent Link Zone drilling that returned separate ‘high-grade’ intersections outside the resource.

At Orient East, hole ORR182 returned 71m @ 81 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) from 133m, including 34m @ 129g/t AgEq from 134m and 3m @ 435g/t AgEq from 152m.

The broader interval contained 24g/t silver (Ag), 5g/t indium, 0.7% lead, and 0.6% zinc.

Other Orient East results include 6m @ 255g/t AgEq from 143m in ORR184, including 2m @ 506g/t AgEq, and 16m @ 146g/t AgEq from 88m in ORR186.

Iltani says the results demonstrate grade and width continuity along strike and down dip.

Managing Director Donald Garner says the result from ORR182 strengthens the company’s development case for the deposit.

“Results like this demonstrate the potential for a robust open pit mining operation at Orient East,” Garner adds.

At Orient West, results include 48m @ 69g/t AgEq from 16m in ORR185 and 15m @ 94g/t AgEq from 29m in ORR183, including 2m @ 380g/t AgEq.

“It is good to see strong assay results, with all four drill holes intersecting multiple mineralised zones along the northeast strike extension, confirming material scope to grow the resource,” Garner says.

Drilling outside the current resource at Vein One returned 24m @ 68g/t AgEq from 106m in ORR188. The interval includes separate 1m sections grading 265g/t and 262g/t AgEq.

Vein One Long Section

The company says Vein One extends for more than 750m and could add tonnage to the wider Orient resource.

All reported intersections are downhole widths. Equivalent grades incorporate silver, indium, lead, and zinc, which Iltani considers to have reasonable potential for recovery and sale.

Resource update ahead

Orient currently hosts 62.5 million tonnes (Mt) @ 81.5g/t AgEq, comprising 38.8Mt indicated and 23.7Mt inferred.

The resource contains 45.9 million ounces of silver, 725 tonnes of indium, 341,000 tonnes of lead, and 421,000 tonnes of zinc.

Iltani expects to complete its initial 110-hole drilling program this month. Updated resource estimates for Orient East and Orient West are scheduled for the December 2026 quarter once all assays have been received.

The company notes the estimates will inform a Scoping Study expected in early 2027. Further drilling is also planned before the wet season to follow up mineralisation outside the current resource areas.

Iltani Resources is an Australian explorer and developer of base, precious, and critical mineral projects. Orient is its flagship asset and forms part of the broader Herberton Project in North Queensland.
