Iltani extends ‘high-grade’ silver zone at Orient Project

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has intercepted further silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation outside the existing mineral resource estimate (MRE) at the Link Zone within its Orient Silver-Indium Project in North Queensland.

Assay results from the company’s 110-hole drilling program delivered drill hole ORR190, which intersected 13m @ 334 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) from 141m, including 8m @ 492g/t AgEq from 143m and 2m @ 1,237g/t AgEq from 144m.

Managing Director Donald Garner notes that hole ORR190 is a ‘standout’ intercept.

“[Hole] ORR190 delivered an intercept of more than 1,000 silver grade metres and more than 1,000 silver-equivalent grade metres,” Garner says.

“The drilling has delivered multiple intersections of high-grade lead-silver-zinc-indium mineralisation within the Link Zone, and we believe this has the potential to translate into a material increase in the Orient mineral resource, with an MRE update planned for delivery in Q4 2026.”

He adds that the results build on drilling completed at the Link Zone at the start of 2025, which yielded significant intercepts like 22m @ 155g/t AgEq from 127m, including 10m @ 280g/t AgEq from 136m and 4m @ 519g/t AgEq from 142m downhole; and 10m @ 314g/t AgEq from 104m, including 5m @ 558g/t AgEq from 107m and 1m @ 1,372g/t AgEq from 110m downhole.

Additional results from current drilling include ORR192 with 18m @ 123g/t AgEq from 70m, including 6m @ 248g/t AgEq from 72m; and ORR196 with 3m @ 220g/t AgEq from 155m.

The Link Zone targets mineralisation between the Orient East and Orient West deposits. Iltani notes all reported intercepts lie outside the current Orient MRE of 62.5 million tonnes @ 81.5g/t AgEq.

The company has defined Link Zone mineralisation over 240m of strike to a depth of 145m, leaving a further 400m of strike untested.

Iltani expects to finish the 110-hole program this month, with assay turnarounds taking one to two months. Data will be used to update the Orient MRE, which will then inform a Scoping Study planned for early 2027.

Follow-up drilling is also being planned before the end of 2026 to extend Link Zone mineralisation prior to the wet season.

Iltani Resources is an explorer focused on base metals and critical minerals, with a portfolio of assets in Queensland and Tasmania.
