Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has intersected 106m of mineralisation at Orient East, part of the Orient Silver-Zinc-Indium Project in northern Queensland.
Assays from 15 reverse circulation drill holes returned ‘outstanding’ results. One notable intercept yielded 106m @ 142.7 grams per tonne silver equivalent (AgEq) from 8m — the thickest zone drilled at Orient to date. This intercept included 22m @ 383.8g/t AgEq from 52m.
Five intercepts returned grades above 1,000g/t AgEq over 1m, led by 1m @ 1,774.69g/t AgEq from 83m in ORR225.
Meanwhile, ORR228 intersected 32m @ 227.3g/t AgEq from 40m.
At the southern edge of Orient East, ORR239 intersected 38m @ 91.7g/t AgEq from 135m.
Managing Director Donald Garner says the company drilled ORR239 to close off the Orient East mineralisation. However, rather than closing it off, “ORR239 delivered multiple intersections of high-grade silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation”.
“We now need to drill more holes in this area to better understand the potential to keep on extending the Orient East mineralisation,” Garner says.
Iltani’s initial 110-hole campaign for the Orient resource finished last month. Data will feed an updated mineral resource estimate for Orient West and Orient East in the December quarter, ahead of a Scoping Study in early 2027.
The current Orient resource stands at 62.5 million tonnes @ 81.5g/t AgEq.
The company is planning a 145-hole follow-up drilling program to begin this month, subject to rig availability and ahead of the wet season. The campaign targets the Link zone and the Orient West NE extension to grow the existing resource.
Iltani Resources is an explorer focused on base metals and critical minerals, with a portfolio of assets in Queensland.
