Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) is preparing to release a maiden resource for its Orient West prospect this month and follow it up with an initial resource for the Orient East prospect.
Both prospects are part of the 340km2 Herberton Project in northern Queensland and host epithermal mineralisation comprising silver, lead, zinc and indium.
Managing Director Donald Garner is heading to the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, being held at Peppers Noosa Resort from 23-25 July, to help lift Iltani’s profile in the resource investment community.
While Iltani has previously attended the November event, Garner says it will be the company’s first time taking to the stage at the July conference.
Delegates will be able to hear the Iltani story at 1.50pm on 23 July, with the company featuring in the line-up in the ‘Small Caps Big Day Out in Noosa’ series.
“Timing is excellent, as we have just completed our JORC resource infill drilling program at Orient West and East, and we are aiming to get the initial Orient West JORC resource completed by the end of July,” Garner tells Mining.com.au.
“Plus we are going to restart drilling to test the exciting versatile time domain electromagnetic targets (VTEM) at Orient.”
Garner says following the release of the VTEM results in late June that they could be a potential game changer for Iltani and deliver multiple high-priority drill targets, as previously reported by Mining.com.au.
Iltani plans to start drill testing the priority anomalies at Orient towards the end of this month.
This will be followed by the release of the Orient East resource in September, defined from 23 reverse circulation holes and two diamond holes.
Since the VTEM results were released, drilling at Orient West has returned more “high-grade” mineralisation up to 1,838.4 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 58.4m.
Iltani will continue to roll out the remaining assays from the Orient East drilling over July and August.
The junior explorer believes Orient is Australia’s largest silver-indium deposit and still growing.
“When investors look at investing in exploration companies, they are seeking material returns (the 10-bagger) and these returns are driven by discoveries,” Garner notes.
“The more we drill – the better, and now with the VTEM survey results to target, the bigger Orient will get.”
