Herberton’s VTEM survey delivers beyond Iltani’s expectations

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) Managing Director Donald Garner says the versatile time-domain electromagnetic (VTEM) survey completed at the Herberton Project in Queensland, has delivered beyond the company’s expectations.

The VTEM survey according to Garner has the potential to be a game changer for Iltani and deliver multiple high-priority drill targets.

“We are confident that the Orient anomalies represent sulphide mineralisation, and once the modelling has been completed, we will rank the anomalies and then move to drill test the anomalies,” he says.

Iltani, which has a market capitalisation of $13 million, says the initial results are considered “very positive” with multiple electromagnetic (EM) responses identified throughout the Herberton Project survey area.

These include multiple strong responses at the Orient Silver-Indium Project, suggesting the Orient system is materially more extensive than currently known, as well as strong EM responses south or Orient West, indicating the potential for parallel mineralised structures and new vein systems.

Iltani adds that the results highlight a strong EM response at Deadman Creek, indicating the potential for sulphide mineralisation.

Garner says Mitrye Geophysics are progressing to model the VTEM anomalies, prioritising the Orient area.

“Due to the volume of anomalies generated at Orient, the modelling processing will take significantly longer than expected, so we are pausing the Orient drilling program on completion of the Orient East JORC infill drilling,” he says.

Once the modelling has been completed and the targets are ranked, drilling will resume around mid to late July 2025.

Iltani also plans to work its way through the remaining anomalies, visit locations to conduct mapping and sampling, and then proceed with ranking targets based on field visits and modelling.

“We will prioritise fieldwork at the Deadman Creek area,” Garner adds.

The company also received $230,375 in funding through the Queensland Government’s Collaborative Exploration Initiative scheme, to conduct the VTEM survey.

The Herberton Project, covering 367km2, lies 20km west of the historical mining town of Herberton in Northern Queensland.

Iltani Resources is an Australian mineral explorer and developer focused on its portfolio of projects considered prospective for critical raw materials.

The company will be attending the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 23-25 July, at the Peppers Noosa Resort.
