Greenwing soars into agreement with Zelandez

Greenwing Resources (ASX:GW1) has entered into an agreement with Zelandez Limited to support the development of the wholly owned San Jorge Project in Argentina.

The US-Argentina Reciprocal Trade Agreement, signed 5 February 2026 sees investment into and the development of critical minerals projects across Argentina as a core focus.

The agreement between Greenwing and Zelandez comes at a time of growing interest in Argentina’s lithium assets.

The company says the initial work targets the production of a scoping study and further analysis to progress the project and inform phase two drilling design and potential for development.

Managing Director Peter Wright says the agreement brings excitement for the progression of the project.

“We feel that the recent improvement in lithium prices and the signing of the agreement is deliberately aimed at positioning the US as a strategic partner in the purchase and processing of Argentine Lithium,” Wright says.

Lithium is in demand with an 80.27% year-to-year increase, according to Trading Economics. The commodity is currently valued at ¥138,000 (27,988) per tonne on 12 January 2026.

Greenwing Resources is an Australian critical minerals exploration company focused on lithium and graphite projects across Madagascar and Argentina.
