Caspin Resources (ASX:CPN) has reported further tin intersections from reverse circulation drilling at the Kelpie deposit within its Bygoo Tin Project in New South Wales.
Hole BRC061 returned 20m @ 1.79% tin (Sn) from 185m, including 3m @ 9.32% Sn from 193m. The interval contained a 1m assay grading 14% Sn from 194m, the ‘highest individual metre grade’ recorded at Kelpie, according to Caspin.
Other results include 7m @ 1.10% Sn from 156m in BRC057, 5m @ 1.39% Sn from 119m in BRC060, and 14m @ 0.68% Sn from 97m in BRC062, including 5m @ 1.03% Sn from 105m.
The results extend the recently identified Errol’s and Stewarts zones and sit outside Kelpie’s current inferred mineral resource estimate of 3.94 million tonnes @ 0.50% Sn for 19,300 tonnes of contained tin.
They follow a previously reported intersection of 20m @ 2.11% Sn from 107m in BRC055 at the Errol’s Zone.
Managing Director Greg Miles says BRC061 builds on the earlier result.
“BRC061 included the highest individual metre grades ever drilled at the Kelpie Deposit, coming on the back of Caspin’s best-ever drill intersection in BRC055,” Miles says.
Caspin says the Errol’s Zone was identified across a previously untested 200m strike using induced polarisation and gravity surveys combined with multi-element soil geochemistry.
The company reports that mineralisation increases in width and grade from about 50m below the surface and remains open down-plunge and down-dip. It considers the results to be within potential open-pit mining depths, although reported intersections are downhole lengths and true widths have not been established.
Three holes from this part of the deposit remain pending, although BRC075 was abandoned before reaching its final target depth.
Caspin says it is preparing a diamond drilling program to test deeper extensions and gather structural information. Resource estimation is scheduled to begin in September, with an updated estimate expected late in the September quarter.
