Accelerate sharpens manganese targets with gravity

Accelerate Resources (ASX:AX8) has identified structural intersections for drill testing at its Woodie Woodie North Manganese Project in Western Australia following a high-resolution gravity survey.

The survey covered a 4.5km by 2km area across the Gingarrigan and El Largo corridors, with Atlas Geophysics collecting 2,440 gravity readings. Southern Geoscience Consultants processed and interpreted the results.

Accelerate says numerous mapped manganese occurrences coincide with interpreted structures, while some larger outcrop clusters sit near structural intersections. The company notes the relationship as supporting a fault-hosted hydrothermal mineralisation model.

CEO Luke Meter says the results have provided a clearer understanding of the structural architecture beneath the two corridors.

“The key result is that the manganese outcrops are not randomly distributed — many align with interpreted structures, and some of the larger outcrops occur in areas of structural intersection,” Meter says.

“With gravity, LiDAR and detailed mapping now integrated, we have a much stronger geological framework for targeting the upcoming drill program.”

Accelerate says the interpreted setting resembles the nearby Woodie Woodie manganese district, where published studies indicate ‘high-grade’ ore bodies are associated with secondary and tertiary structures extending from larger basin-controlling faults.

The company has also completed LiDAR and 2.5cm-resolution orthophotography surveys across a 7km² area. These results are being combined with field mapping and gravity data to identify structural corridors beneath shallow cover and rank prospective drill sites.

The integrated interpretation will inform the final reverse circulation drill design for the Gingarrigan–Gingerbread area. Accelerate says it expects maiden drilling to begin in September 2026, subject to heritage clearance and other approvals.

Woodie Woodie North covers 432km² and contains seven mapped manganese corridors spanning more than 42km of strike. Previous drilling has defined an inferred mineral resource of 1.2 million tonnes at 19.1% manganese using a 15% cut-off.
