Accelerate Resources (ASX:AX8) reports field mapping and light detection and ranging surveys have flagged more than 200 manganese outcrops across its Gingarrigan-El Largo area ahead of maiden drilling scheduled for September.
The new Rancor and Wampa prospects at the Woodie Woodie North Manganese Project in Western Australia returned rock chip assays of up to 58.40% manganese (Mn).
At Rancor, seven of 10 rock chip samples returned grades above 30% Mn, featuring peak results of 57.60%, 55.60%, and 48.50% Mn. At Wampa, three rock chip samples returned 58.40%, 55.30%, and 50.60% Mn.
Chief executive Luke Meter says the scale of surface manganese at Gingarrigan and El Largo is becoming “increasingly clear”.
“We have now mapped more than 200 manganese outcrops and occurrences defining around 9.7 hectares of mineralised manganese exposure, with several of the larger bodies showing a close relationship to the structural architecture highlighted by the gravity survey,” Meter says.
“Rancor is a strong example, with approximately one hectare of manganese-chert breccia exposure at an interpreted structural intersection returning up to 57.6% Mn.”
Maiden reverse circulation drilling is scheduled to commence in September 2026 following ethnographic and archaeological clearances.
The company has completed heritage surveys at Gingarrigan, with final clearance documentation expected in the coming weeks.
Accelerate also intends to begin metallurgical diamond drilling at the Area 42 deposit in late August to evaluate direct shipping ore potential and beneficiation pathways.
Area 42 holds an inferred resource of 0.7 million tonnes (Mt) @ 20.70% Mn within the broader Woodie Woodie North inferred resource of 1.2Mt at 19.10% Mn.
Woodie Woodie North spans 432km2 and is located along its namesake corridor approximately 260km east of Port Hedland.
Accelerate Resources is an explorer focused on discovering and developing gold and critical metal assets, such as lithium and manganese, across WA.
