Tivan (ASX:TVN) has received $141,237 in government funding to drill three diamond holes at its Northern Territory tungsten project.
The Northern Territory Government has awarded the grant under Round 19 of its Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations (GDC) program, administered by the Northern Territory Geological Survey.
Funding will support approximately 600m of diamond drilling designed to test tungsten-molybdenum magnetite at the Molyhil Tungsten Project.
Located 220km north-east of Alice Springs, Molyhil forms part of Tivan’s broader NT portfolio.
The company is progressing a Prefeasibility Study (PFS), which focuses on mining and processing to produce tungsten scheelite and molybdenite concentrate for export.
A Scoping Study completed in April confirmed the project’s technical and economic robustness. Stage one drilling in November focused on four initial tungsten targets, with assay results expected shortly.
“Tivan has rapidly advanced the project toward development, laying the foundations for a new critical minerals precinct that can deliver long-term benefits for Central Australia and the Territory,” Executive Chairman Grant Wilson says.
The company targets stage two drilling in July, which will include exploration drilling and drilling to support the PFS for resource definition, as well as metallurgical, geotechnical, and hydrogeological purposes. The three GDC-funded diamond drill holes will form part of the program.
The GDC grant marks the third consecutive year Tivan has received NT Government grant funding, following awards for the Sandover Fluorite Project in 2025 and the Sandover AI Project in 2024.
