Tivan (ASX:TVN) has completed geophysical surveys at its Molyhil Tungsten and Sandover Fluorite projects in the Northern Territory, identifying multiple new priority targets for follow-up exploration.
The company engaged Mitre Geophysics to design the program, which includes an already-completed high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric survey across Molyhil.
Tivan reports a ground gravity survey comprising 3,740 stations at Molyhil has also been completed.
The magnetic survey has refined the geophysical signature of the existing Molyhil tungsten deposit, enhancing the mapping of magnetite-rich zones associated with skarn mineralisation.
Meanwhile, the gravity survey detected ‘high-density’ features analogous to Molyhil-style mineralisation.
With the integration of datasets, Tivan has identified 10 high-priority areas of interest (AOI), two of which feature outcropping geology with no historic geochemistry, and the remaining eight under cover and requiring detailed geophysical modelling.
Executive Chairman Grant Wilson says the geophysical progress complements the company’s recent developments at Molyhil.
“It has been an important week for Tivan in Central Australia, finalising key terms for our joint venture of the Molyhil Tungsten Project and our collaboration agreement with Aboriginal Investment NT,” Wilson says.
Tivan has recently partnered with Aboriginal Investment NT for possible collaborations at the project, as reported.
The Molyhil Tungsten Project hosts a mineral resource estimate of 4.65 million tonnes at 0.26% tungsten trioxide and 0.09% molybdenum for 12,100 tonnes of tungsten trioxide and 4,400 tonnes of molybdenum.
Tivan intends to continue working with Mitre Geophysics to complete detailed processing and modelling, with key priorities being inversion modelling of the AOIs and constrained magnetic modelling at the Molyhil deposit to support near-mine resource expansion.
Field-based follow-up will likewise commence over outcropping target areas through geological mapping and geochemical sampling.
The company expects to receive assay results from its phase one drilling program shortly, with phase two drilling scheduled to commence in late July.
Tivan is a critical minerals developer specialising in mining projects that support renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors.
