Tempest Minerals (ASX:TEM) has begun earthworks ahead of an upcoming reverse circulation drilling program at the Remorse target, as part of the Yalgoo Project in Western Australia.
The earthworks include critical site access and drill pad construction. Once completed, drilling can begin, which is expected to launch later this month.
Managing Director Don Smith tells this news service that “the incredible amount of rain the Yalgoo region has had has been great for the environment as the flowers are starting to bloom — but it means we’ve had some delays in our drilling.”
“Nevertheless, now that it is safe to do so, we are back at work getting the access tracks and drill pads ready for drilling very soon,” Smith says.
Tempest Minerals previously announced its plans to conduct a 5,000m reverse circulation drilling program at the copper-focused Remorse target.
The company has been waiting to drill Remorse since last year and now that the company has secured approvals, drilling can finally begin.
The Remorse target lies on the eastern side of the Yalgoo Project. Tempest has previously noted that there is presence of “large-scale” copper-zinc geochemical and geophysical anomalies at the target.
