Orpheus Uranium (ASX:ORP) has completed its acquisition of the Oobagooma Uranium Project in Western Australia from Elevate Uranium (ASX:EL8).
The company has satisfied all conditions precedent under the sale agreement announced on 14 October 2025 and is advancing the regulatory process to transfer exploration licence E04/2297 to a wholly owned subsidiary.
The transaction secures Orpheus its first tenure in WA’s Canning Basin.
Historical drilling at Oobagooma returned intersections of up to 3,775 parts per million (ppm) equivalent uranium oxide (eU₃O₈).
Selected historical results include:
- 2.2m at 3,581ppm eU₃O₈ from 47.5m
- 2.7m at 2,046ppm eU₃O₈ from 67.8m
- 2.8m at 2,352ppm eU₃O₈ from 46.6m
- 1.75m at 2,552ppm eU₃O₈ from 48.05m
- 2.45m at 1,870ppm eU₃O₈ from 68.2m
- 1.65m at 3,775ppm eU₃O₈ from 53.15m
During the acquisition process, privately held in situ recovery uranium producer Heathgate Resources lodged exploration licence applications over surrounding ground.
Orpheus has also submitted applications over nearby tenure to position itself for broader regional exploration.
The company now plans to advance its assessment of historical drilling results to establish an exploration target by December 2026.
Orpheus Uranium is focused on uranium exploration across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
