Iltani Resources Orient East drilling

Orient drilling bodes well for Iltani’s potential development

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) has received further drill results, as part of an ongoing drilling program at the Orient Silver-Indium Project in Queensland, yielding positive results for potential development.

At Orient East, drilling has delivered multiple thick intercepts of silver mineralisation at open-pittable depths.

Some of the latest results include 18m @ 210.6 grams per tonne silver-equivalent (AgEq) from 62m, including 9m @ 369.7g/t AgEq from 63m; and 86m @ 75.5g/t AgEq from 80m, including 20m @ 179.1g/t AgEq from 93m.

The company is on track to deliver the Orient West resource estimate by the end of this month, while the Orient East resource will be delivered in September 2025.

Assays remain pending for several holes at the Orient East deposit.

Managing Director Donald Garner says the company has received the final versatile time-domain electromagnetic (VTEM) survey data, with geophysical consultant Mitre Geophysics has begun modelling the data and generating targets.

“We plan to start drilling geophysical targets at Orient once initial target modelling has been delivered, targeting additional tonnes and grade by testing the high-priority anomalies,” Garner says.

“We aim to get the drilling restarted towards the end of July.”

Last week, infill reverse circulation drilling was completed at the Orient West deposit, which intercepted multiple zones of mineralisation. Some of the results include 7m @ 117.4g/t AgEq from 131m, including 1m @ 455.8g/t AgEq from 133m.

“We continue to be excited by what we see, with results validating our belief that Orient is Australia’s largest and highest grade known silver-indium deposit,” Garner says.

Upon completing drilling at the main Orient East area, there are further untested targets at Orient North, Orient South, Deadman Creek, and numerous VTEM geophysical anomalies currently being modelled.

The Orient West and East prospects are part of the broader 340km2 Herberton Project in northern Queensland and host epithermal mineralisation comprising silver, lead, zinc, and indium.

Iltani Resources will be attending the  Noosa Mining Investor Conference this week, held at Peppers Noosa Resort from 23-25 July.

As Mining.com.au previously reported, Garner says it will be the company’s first time talking to the stage at the July conference. Delegates will be able to hear Iltani’s story at 1.50pm on 23 July, with the company featuring in the line-up in the ‘Small Caps Big Day Out in Noosa’ series.
