Native Mineral Resources logs another Blackjack smelt

Native Mineral Resources (ASX:NMR) completes latest gold smelt at its Blackjack Gold Operations near Charters Towers, Queensland.

The company completed its latest scheduled gold smelt on 29 September, producing two doré bars with a combined gross weight of 313.6 ounces.

BJM100 from the elution circuit weighed 230.6 ounces, while BJM101 from the gravity circuit weighed 83 ounces.

Confirmed Perth Mint gold outturn for September currently stands at 760.3 ounces, excluding the 29 September smelt.

Preliminary laboratory assays for BJM100-101 indicate approximately 157.4 ounces of contained gold, subject to final Perth Mint assay and refinery outturn.

The Perth Mint outturn for the 22 September smelt confirmed 138.6 ounces gold and 84.4 ounces silver from BJM097-099.

Managing Director Blake Cannavo says Blackjack continues to demonstrate consistent weekly gold production.

“Blackjack continues to demonstrate consistent weekly gold production, with a further 313.6 ounces of doré produced from our latest smelt and 138.6oz of gold confirmed from the previous smelt,” Cannavo remarks.

The company mined more than 154,000 tonnes of material across Podosky and Mid Pit during September.

Since mining activities commenced in April, approximately 920,773 tonnes of material has been mined across Blackjack Mid Pit and Podosky, comprising 466,412 tonnes from Mid Pit and 454,361 tonnes from Podosky.

Mining recommenced at Blackjack Mid Pit on 1 October at approximately RL317.5 and is planned to continue through to December. Mining at Podosky is scheduled to restart on 2 October following the latest drilling, sampling, and blasting activities.

At Podosky, two blasts were completed on the 257.5 RL bench with three further blasts scheduled across the remaining 257.5 RL mining areas.

At Blackjack Mid Pit, two blasts were completed on the 310 RL bench with one further blast scheduled on the 310 RL bench and a final planned blast on the 305 RL bench.

Reverse circulation drilling at Blackjack North Pit remains on track for completion during October, with results pending assessment by the company’s geological and technical teams.
