Marmota (ASX:MEU) has kicked off a drilling program at the Goolagong Gold Project in Western Australia.
The program comprises 15 holes, starting at a new potential gold discovery, to follow-up on the recent potential discovery hole.
At Goolagong, Marmota, which has a market capitalisation of $51 million, will follow-up on an aircore drill hole which returned 2m @ 0.64 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 36m, 0.53g/t gold from 36 to 37m, and 0.75g/t from 37 to 38m.
This intersection from drillhole 23MR184 is the first to be followed up on the potential new Goolagong discovery.
Once drilling has completed at Goolagong, the rig will mobilise to the main gold programs at the Aurora Tank and Campfire Bore projects.
The Aurora Tank Project is the company’s flagship asset, which lies 100km southwest of Coober Pedy.
Marmota is a gold and uranium focused company which wholly owns the Junction Dam Uranium Project, which lies immediately adjacent to Boss Energy’s (ASX:BOE) Honeymoon Uranium Mine in South Australia.
