Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK) reports diamond drilling has confirmed depth extensions at the Ouarigue prospect within its Ferké Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
The company received assay results from 21 diamond core holes totalling 5,888m from its ongoing extension and delineation drilling program.
The ‘standout’ result came from hole FNDC135, which returned 36m @ 2.64 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 600m depth, including 4.2m @ 5.39g/t Au from 628m and 5m @ 1.46g/t Au from 581.65m, including 1m @ 5.62g/t Au.
Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger says the intercept extends the interpreted Ouarigue intrusion-hosted mineralisation approximately 100m down dip and 160m along strike from previous drilling at the targeted depth.
“The two holes at the targeted depth confirm high-grade gold mineralisation at the interpreted southern and northern extremities of the mineralised Ouarigue intrusion,” the company says.
Other significant results from drilling beneath the northern corridor of the Ouarigue mineral resource estimate (MRE) include 7.6m @ 1.44g/t Au from 381.15m and 2m @ 8.76g/t Au from 434.1m in FNDC132, and 14.4m @ 0.79g/t Au from 217m, including 6.3m @ 1.35g/t Au in FNDC123.
The drilling focused primarily on down-dip extensions proximal to the existing Ouarigue MRE, currently reported at 26.7 million tonnes at 1.54g/t Au for 1.3 million ounces. The results provide additional geological and grade-continuity data relevant to assessing the extent and geometry of mineralisation beneath the current MRE.
Two wedge holes from FNDC135 were subsequently completed to better assess continuity and geometry of deeper, ‘high-grade’ gold mineralisation. Assays for both holes are pending.
Many Peaks has assays pending from a further 27 diamond core holes totalling 9,375m, with results anticipated progressively from late September through October 2026. The company also has assays pending from 65 reverse circulation holes totalling 7,979m, including drill testing on an up to 400m-long extension target north of the current MRE.
Three diamond rigs continue to undertake extensional drilling at Ouarigue, with a drilling cut-off date for the MRE update anticipated around the end of the September quarter.
Many Peaks expects the current work to inform prefeasibility-level technical studies planned for the December quarter of 2026. The studies are subject to completion and interpretation of drilling, receipt of assays, and the outcomes of the updated MRE.
These activities form part of the company’s planned 60,000m program for 2026 across its Côte d’Ivoire portfolio. The timing and extent of planned drilling remain subject to operational conditions, assay turnaround times, and ongoing technical review.
