Many Peaks Ferke Gold Project

‘Bonanza’ gold hits signal growth potential at Many Peaks’ Ferké

An eye-popping 1.85m gold intercept grading 109.8 grams per tonne gold (Au) headlines fresh drilling results from Many Peaks Minerals’ (ASX:MPK) Ferké Project in Côte d’Ivoire.

The standout result sits beneath the Ouarigue resource, within a wider 46.75m intercept grading 7.02g/t Au, part of a 188.9m run @ 3.58g/t Au from 633m.

The estimated true width of the intercept from the diamond drill hole FNDC166 is 95.3m. This refers to the perpendicular thickness of the mineralised body instead of the longer, slanted distance measured down the drill hole.

A second hole, FN135W01, returned 59.2m at 2.30g/t gold from 556.8m, with an estimated true width of 52.4m.

The hole also included 34.2m @ 3.34g/t Au from 579.8m, including 4m at 20.8g/t Au, adding further volume to potential resource extensions at Ouarigue.

Regional targets deliver high-grade hits

Reconnaissance reverse circulation (RC) drilling from shallower depths across Ferké has also returned encouraging results. The 31 holes, totalling 3,350m, identified increasing mineralised widths about 3km south of Ouarigue.

Highlights included 9m @ 4.33g/t Au from 30m in hole FNRC285. Another hole, FNRC286, returned 3m @ 3.78g/t Au from 33m and 2m @ 12.6g/t Au from 146m.

A further seven RC holes totalling 1,017m targeted close to surface extensions north and south of Ouarigue. All seven holes intersected gold mineralisation.

Those results included 4m @ 3.75g/t Au from 55m, 6m @ 2.22g/t Au from 28m and 30m @ 0.52g/t Au from only 18m.

Resource update and studies advance

The latest results represent the data cut-off mark for a planned mineral resource estimate (MRE) update.

Many Peaks has geological modelling and resource estimation under way for completion of that milestone in the current quarter.

The latest drilling adds to the opportunities being evaluated at Ferké, with deep extensions, shallow mineralisation and regional targets all contributing to the project’s growth potential.

Prefeasibility-level open-pit studies are also progressing, as is an integrated economic assessment considering potential underground development options through a Scoping Study.

Targeting growth

Managing Director Travis Schwertfeger says:

“These strong extension drill results again demonstrate the strong continuity of high-grade gold beneath the existing Ouarigue resource and suggest increasing ounces per vertical metre at depth.

“The results will inform the planned resource update and evaluation of underground development options alongside the ongoing open-pit study work.

“Regional RC results have also delivered several intercepts highlighting targets for follow-up resource delineation drilling approximately 3km south of Ouarigue, with additional RC drilling to follow-up on success in these results and additional targeting for discovery and resource growth along the >37km Leraba trend is expected to commence in the coming month.”
