‘Major’ extension confirmed at Resolution’s Golden Gate South

Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) confirms a ‘major’ extension of gold mineralisation at its Horse Heaven Project in Idaho, US, after three discovery holes returned broad intercepts at Golden Gate South.

All three diamond holes intersected gold mineralisation from surface. Standout results include 305.7m @ 0.64 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) from surface, including higher-grade zones of 6.5m @ 1.33g/t Au from 62m and 17.25m @ 1.19g/t Au from 264.85m downhole.

Resolution says the results extend known gold mineralisation at least 2,000m south of Golden Gate North, confirming discovery status at Golden Gate South.

CEO of US Operations Craig Lindsay says the company’s exploration team is “extremely encouraged” by the three discovery holes.

[These three holes] provide additional support to our view that mineralisation extends continuously from Golden Gate South to Golden Gate North, potentially representing a very significant gold discovery along the Golden Gate Fault Zone,” Lindsay says.

Other key assay results include 49.5m @ 0.58g/t Au from surface, including 24.64m @ 0.78g/t Au from 17.86m downhole, with a deeper intercept of 13.39m @ 0.44g/t Au from 208.1m; and 32.6m @ 0.49g/t Au from surface and 87.87m @ 0.52g/t Au from 48.97m downhole.

The holes were drilled from the same platform at the southern end of Golden Gate South to test the southern extension of the shear zone. According to Resolution, mineralisation appears associated with arsenopyrite and pyrite in quartz veins and gouge shear zones.

The company has completed 33 diamond drill holes for approximately 9,700m at Golden Gate, with a further 28 drill holes submitted for assay.

The 2026 drill program comprises up to 13,700m across up to 45 holes targeting gold and tungsten mineralisation, with the timeline extended to mid-September 2026.

Spanning approximately 5,900 hectares, the Horse Heaven Project comprises 729 US federal lode mining claims immediately adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ (NASDAQ:PPTA) Stibnite Gold Project.

Resolution Minerals is a mineral explorer focused on discovering and developing precious and critical battery metals, including antimony, gold, tungsten, and copper.
