Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) has announced new board appointments, confirming the company’s strategy on gold and critical minerals in North America.
George Brack and Phillips Baker Jr, both experienced North American mining executives have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors.
George Brack brings over 30 years of experience to the role. He currently also serves as Chair of Wheaton Precious Metals (NYSE:WPM), where he has been for the past 16 years. In addition to directorships, Brack has worked senior positions in mining investment banking and corporate development, with a focus on strategic mergers and acquisitions and in project financing.
Phillips Baker Jr also comes with 30 years executive experience, having been CEO of Hecla Mining (NYSE:HL) for 23 years and serving on the board. During his tenure, Hecla grew to become the largest primary silver producer in the US and expanded its portfolio in gold assets.
Dateline Chairman Mark Johnson AO notes the extensive experience of the new board members and that their “background in mining finance and corporate strategy are exactly what we need as we advance the Colosseum Project towards production”.
“Their North American experience and proven leadership will be valuable in helping realise the full potential of the Colosseum Project and our broader critical minerals objectives in the US,” Johnson says.
“These appointments significantly bolster our board, and with our board now strengthened it will provide support for our Managing Director, Stephen Baghdadi.”
Dateline Resources is focused on the Colosseum Gold-REE Project in California.
