Nickel explorer and developer Corazon Mining (ASX:CZN) has reported another round of ‘positive’ metallurgical testwork results from its Lynn Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Sulphide Project in Canada.
The company says its ongoing metallurgical testwork program is focused on utilising innovative processing technologies to upgrade the mineralisation typical of the Lynn Lake Mining Centre.
This processing innovation represents a key component of the company’s strategy to transform the project into a long-life, low-cost nickel sulphide mining operation.
Corazon, which has a $10.98 million market capitalisation, reports the latest ‘promising’ results were generated from ore sorting and coarse flotation and will be integrated into Scoping Study processing flowcharts.

The company notes flotation testwork to date has achieved improved recoveries and concentrate grades compared to those historically reported. As a result, both ore sorting and coarse flotation will be considered for use at Lynn Lake.
This work forms part of an integrated strategy of optimising the mining and processing methods to take advantage of the ‘large’ amount of low-to-medium grade mineralisation at Lynn Lake. As part of this work, Corazon continues to refine its definitive testwork for all ore types.
It is Corazon’s belief the bulk mining of Lynn Lake’s sulphide deposits could potentially ‘substantially’ reduce mining costs but also possibly result in a lower overall feed grade.
Corazon Mining is an ASX-listed mineral resource explorer and developer with a portfolio of critical minerals projects in Australia and Canada.
The company’s Lynn Lake project is located in the Manitoba Province in Canada and has been consolidated under Corazon’s sole ownership. Corazon represents the first company to do so in this ‘major’ nickel-producing district since mine closure in 1976.
