Corazon appoints new president

Corazon hires geology chief for Chalice development

Corazon Mining (ASX:CZN) has appointed Will Stewart as general manager – geology, effective today, to lead resource development at its recently acquired Chalice Gold Project.

Stewart brings over 20 years of technical and corporate leadership across ASX-listed gold and base metals operators.

His career includes serving as a competent person for resource estimates and exploration results, most recently at WIN Metals (ASX:WIN), alongside senior roles at Silver Lake Resources, Independence Group (ASX:IGO), and Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN).

The appointment follows shareholder approval of the Chalice acquisition at the company’s general meeting on 29 June 2026.

Stewart will also oversee the broader Western Australian gold portfolio, including the Two Pools and Feather Cap projects.

Managing Director Simon Coyle says Stewart’s track record “speaks for itself”.

“He has built and grown resources at some of Western Australia’s best-known gold and base metals operations, and as competent person he brings the rigour and discipline we need as we move into the next phase at Chalice,” Coyle says.

“With shareholder approval for the Chalice acquisition now secured, our focus shifts firmly to the geology — defining the targets, growing the resource, and building the team capable of delivering on the opportunity in front of us.

“Will is exactly the right person to lead that work.”

Located in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields region, approximately 50km northwest of Norseman, the Chalice Project has historically produced 645,000 ounces of gold at 5.40 grams per tonne.

It holds a current mineral resource estimate of 191,000 ounces, which is open in all directions.

Corazon says it is actively recruiting to expand its technical team ahead of an exploration phase at Chalice and across its Western Australian gold portfolio.

Corazon Mining is a gold explorer and producer primarily focused on its Chalice Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.
