Corazon Mining (ASX:CZN) has completed its four-hole maiden diamond drilling program at the Two Pools Gold Project in Western Australia.
Drilling was conducted over a total of 995m, exceeding the planned 920m as holes were extended where core warranted further investigation.
The company says assays have been fast-tracked, with initial results expected within weeks.
The company transported diamond core to Kalgoorlie throughout the drilling campaign to expedite results. Assays have been fast-tracked at Bureau Veritas, with first results anticipated over the coming weeks.
The program targeted zones with historical intercepts including 12m at 8.9 grams per tonne gold from 79m and 8m at 7.80g/t gold from 68m.
Targeting the northwest-trending down-plunge extension of the mineralised system, one hole reached a depth of 400m, following up on a historical intercept of 5m @ 3.60g/t gold from 236m that remains largely untested by previous explorers.
Managing Director Simon Coyle says the team was able to complete drilling under six months from project acquisition.
“What we’ve seen visually in the core has met and exceeded our geological expectations; the structure and mineralisation we were targeting is clearly present, and the system remains wide open at depth and along strike,” Coyle says.
“With assays fast-tracked at Bureau Veritas, we have line of sight to first results over the coming weeks – and we’re confident this data will anchor a compelling follow-up reverse circulation campaign.”
The maiden program represents the first systematic structural investigation of Two Pools at depth. Previous explorers conducted shallow rotary air blast and reverse circulation drilling averaging 75m depth, leaving the geometry of multiple high-grade lodes undefined and deeper extensions untested.
The program was designed across four strategic objectives. Two structural holes were drilled into the core of the mineralised area to define the geometry of the primary high-grade lodes. Historical intercepts in this area include 12m at 8.90g/t gold from 79m, 18m at 3.90g/t gold from 83m, and eight metres at 7.80g/t gold from 68m.
One deep hole targeted the northwest-trending down-plunge extension of the system, testing the vicinity of historical intercept five metres at 3.60g/t gold from 236m, approximately 300m from the main mineralised area. One southeastern hole tested structural orientation of shallow high-grade mineralisation on the southeastern side of the drill area, which currently remains open in multiple directions.
Core logging is ongoing and will be integrated into a structural interpretation to guide the design of follow-up reverse circulation drilling campaigns expected in the second quarter of 2026.
Corazon intends to complete diamond core logging and structural interpretation to finalise the design of the follow-up reverse circulation drilling campaign.
A reverse circulation drill rig will be planned and mobilised to Two Pools within the second quarter of 2026.
The company also plans low-level exploration activities within the greater Two Pools tenements package to further define additional drill targets for follow-up drilling during the second half of 2026, while continuing to progress exploration activities at the Feather Cap Gold Project.
Corazon acquired the Two Pools project in October 2025. The project is located in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region.
