ABx transitions to Vistra

ABx Group (ASX:ABX) has appointed Mathew Watkins as Joint Company Secretary, effective 1 February 2024.

Watkins is a member of global financial and corporate services provider Vistra and has over a decade of experience, working in roles with ASX-listed and unlisted public companies operating in the mining, biotechnology, and industrial sectors.

ABx is transitioning its internal accounting / financial function to Vistra following the resignation of ABx Chief Financial Officer Francis Choy, also effective from 1 February.

Vistra will take responsibility and accountability that previously fell to the CFO function.

To facilitate the transition, Watkins will act as Joint Company Secretary for about one month. Subsequent to this period, current Company Secretary Henry Kinstlinger will step down, allowing Watkins to assume sole responsibility of all company secretarial duties.

ABx says Kinstlinger has been instrumental in supporting the company through a number of ‘significant’ changes, including the creation of its 83% owned subsidiary ALCORE, and thanks him for his many years of service.

Watkins is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and possesses a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University of Technology.

ABx Group is a uniquely positioned, high-tech Australian company delivering materials for a cleaner future. The current areas of focus are creation of an ionic adsorption clay rare earth project in northern Tasmania and establishment of a plant to produce hydrogen fluoride and aluminium fluoride from recycled industrial waste.

As of 30 September 2023, ABx Group had $6.896 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
