Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has received further assay results from targeted infill reverse circulation and diamond core drilling across the Arrakis gold discovery within the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project in Western Australia.
Significant intercepts include 17.5m @ 2.30 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) from 127.5m in hole 26IWBRC0121D, including 3.8m @ 2.80g/t Au from 130.7m and 4.8m @ 4.00g/t Au from 135.5m.
The hole also intersected 17.0m @ 1.10g/t Au from 162.0m, located roughly 50m down-dip of a previously reported 6m @ 28.30g/t Au intercept from hole 26IWBRC0120.
Geological interpretations indicate these results reside within a 100m to 150m striking zone of higher-grade mineralisation plunging to the south, representing a third potential ‘high-grade’ domain identified within Arrakis.
Additionally, hole 26IWBRC0129 returned 10m @ 1.80g/t Au from 42m, situated in the hanging wall of the main structure.
The down-plunge projection remains untested below the Yueh Shear Zone, presenting a target for further drilling. Yandal says results from two diamond core tails are expected in early September, alongside initial assays from the Anders target.
Yandal Resources holds a portfolio of advanced gold exploration projects in the Yandal and Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belts of Western Australia.
